I work as a photojournalist, and I am currently creating a visual chronicle of the war in Ukraine, capturing human experiences to make the conflict accessible and understandable to the whole world. Through such reports and the collection of oral testimonies, I am accumulating material for a book in order to be able in the future to artistically interpret the events that are unfolding around me. I see the photobook medium as an ideal way to develop an archive of materials to present to the public; it will take the form of photographs accompanied by the textual testimonies of eyewitnesses to the events of the war in Ukraine. Alongside this project I continue to work as an artist, and I am engaged in the development of images from films and the printing of black and white photos on silver-gelatine paper in an analog printing laboratory.
