This is a story about the current war that starts a decade earlier with the Mykytenko military family. Yuliia and her father Mykola fought together for Ukraine’s independence from 2013–2016. In 2020, Mykola chose the ultimate form of war protest: self-immolation. Yuliia is the one left to tell her father’s story and defend her country once more. Remember, Above All Else is a poetic movie about a daughter missing her father and trying to find a way out of trauma.
