This project entails support and art therapy for fighters who sustained eye injuries, and either are dealing with impaired vision or have lost an eye altogether. Serhii Petrov, known professionally as Bob Basset, is a Ukrainian artist who for three decades has been working with leather and the world-renowned leather masks made by the studio he co-founded. Serhii himself has problems with one eye, and thus in learning to accept himself as he is and even underscore his uniqueness, he developed a one-eyed mask. His aim is to help veterans emphasize their individual brilliance, accentuating the beauty of their uniqueness rather than seeing it as a shortcoming. As part of this project, individualized masks will be made for three people who sustained such injuries. Each of the masks will take into consideration the physiological specificities resulting from the trauma.
