“The Chronicles of Hell” is a testimony about the atrocities committed by Russia during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. There are no combatants among our heroes, only civilians whose lives were destroyed by the war. Our goal is to record the events taking place in Ukraine with the help of eyewitnesses and participants of the events, and to show the true face of the Russian military not embellished by Russian propaganda, especially for the Western audience.
What's next? Unfortunately, for Ukrainians, the hell continues. It has different faces––under shelling, under occupation, and even in peaceful cities. These stories are happening now. Nuclear power plants turned into military bases, modern concentration camps in Europe, post-apocalyptic winter pictures of destroyed cities—that is a reality that seems impossible, but it exists. Our goal is to film it.
