I Am Fine is an exploration and visual documentation of the profound effects of war on the ability to maintain daily life, relationships, work, dream, create, and make sense. This book will reflect both the physical realities of wartime in Ukraine—such as air raid alerts, the search for safety, the experience power outages—and the emotional responses, including anxiety, anger, frustration, and hope. The artistic approach combines visual storytelling with narration, using illustrations to convey the complexity of the subject through metaphor rather than realistic imagery. The main aim of reflecting the realities is capturing the human experience of the war
and making some dimensions of this experience accessible and understandable to the broader world.
