The project "Mariupol. Diary of a Survivor" aims to record military events in Ukraine, namely in Mariupol, and involves writing a book about the horrors of being in a city surrounded by aggressors, the experience of survival under constant shellfire, prolonged blockade, humanitarian catastrophe, extreme manifestations of human nature from savage cruelty to the highest humanity and devotion. By the will of fate and the President of the Russian Federation, I became a witness to and victim of Russian crimes against Ukraine. According to my own beliefs, I was in the middle of the hottest flashpoint of events for a long time: Mariupol. In principle, I stayed there to make every effort to defend my hometown and help the citizens as a volunteer, as well as to record the terrible events as a writer. It is very important that as many people as possible learn about Putin's and Russian crimes, that the evidence of the horrors of the occupation, the brutal actions of the aggressor and the incredible resilience, courage and devotion of Mariupol’s defenders remain in the history of Ukraine and the world for future generations.
