Scorched Earth

With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, a lot of amateur video footage of artillery shelling, combat fighting and destruction appeared on the Internet. One of the important qualities of this footage is that it exists outside of conventional media reporting and news channels. It's as close to the reality as possible. Filmed by soldiers and civilians themselves where nobody else would be able to access. Sometimes it becomes difficult to find videos from a year ago or more; it got lost in the feed among new posts and may never resurface, and few people, especially outside Ukraine, will ever see it. I think it is necessary to combine all the most important footage into a large video chronicle and create a documentary film. The film will consist of Telegram videos and Instagram stories of local civilians, Tik-Toks made by soldiers, photos, etc. It will be a sort of chronological video-collage of what happened in the Donbas during the Russian invasion in 2022–2023.
