The aim of the project is to create at least three new short documentaries about the frontline territories of Ukraine that suffered from the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Among the likely locations are the liberated Kherson region (probably even those parts that remain occupied at the time of the application), Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and Zaporizhzhia.
Given the nature of our production (the filming process will take place during the cultural-volunteer and informational trips of UkraineWorld, Ukraine Crisis Media Center and PEN Ukraine), the team will try to be on the ground as soon as possible after a potential liberation, as soon as the security situation in the region allows it.
Thematically, these films will tell civilian stories and focus on civilian as well as cultural resistance.
According to our plan––and this is a new characteristic compared to the previous stage––we plan to dub these films not only into English, but also into French and possibly in German before distributing them through websites and social networks (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter) of Ukraine World and Ukraine Crisis Media Center, as well as PEN Ukraine.
