The project is aimed at explaining events to Ukraine, Ukraine's history, politics and culture, as well as Russian invasion of Ukraine, to the English-speaking audiences around the world.
Yermolenko is a Ukrainian philosopher, writer and journalist, the edtior-in-chief of ukraineworld.org, one of the key Ukrainian websites about Ukraine in English, as well as the host of the podcast "Explaining Ukraine".
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion UkraineWorld has been one of the most active Ukrainian information initiatives in English. The Twitter account @ukraine_world now has 196,000 followers; UkraineWorld's Facebook page over 80,000; the "Explaining Ukraine" podcast has 80,000-100,000 listeners per month, and the cumulative mothly audience worldwide reaches up to 10 million people monthly.
Yermolenko is going to continue this work, particularly focusing on podcasts (ukraineworld.org/podcasts). These are usually published at a rate of about 3-4 episodes per week.
