The Heroes Among Us: Return and Rehabilitation project focuses on documenting the experiences of Russian-Ukrainian war participants returning to peaceful life as well as supporting Ukrainian veterans. The main tasks of the project include recording and publishing the stories of demobilized soldiers who talk about their experiences of returning to civilian life, the difficulties of reintegration and ways to overcome trauma. Interview recordings will be an important source of information for researchers such as historians, anthropologists, and sociologists. This will help better understand the process of veterans returning from the Russian-Ukrainian war, identify problems in need of attention, and suggest solutions. The project is also aimed at providing physical and psychological support to veterans, contributing to their recovery.
