Major Overhaul. Graphic Interviews with Ukrainians Who Reinvented Themselves Due to the Russian Invasion

Graphic interviews will be conducted with people who have experienced profound transformations in their lives and work. They dedicate a big part of their lives “to the war” and its devastating consequences. The interviews will feature journalists who previously covered cultural or urban topics and have now become war correspondents, activists who previously advocated for marginalized groups but now defend our country against the Russian invasion, and cultural workers who have completely shifted their focus to humanitarian aid or joined the army.

Another focus will be the stories of women who with the beginning of the full-scale invasion unexpectedly became wives of soldiers when their husbands volunteered for the army and are now navigating the challenges of rehabilitation, the search for missing persons, or the anticipation of their husband’s release from captivity. War has a profound impact on lives on various and sometimes unpredictable levels. It is important for us to document the experiences of individuals who once led relatively “normal” lives, as their stories may resonate with people regardless of their geographic location.
