IWM Summer School in Cortona 1992
Conferences and Workshops
Since 1989, IWM has organized an annual two-week summer school on contemporary problems of political philosophy. The main objective of the IWM Summer School is to give students and young scholars (who often have exceptionally diverse backgrounds) an opportunity to discuss important social and political issues. The problem, which the IWM Summer School has addressed in 1992 was "Democracy - Anti-democracy".
Five seminars were offered which addressed aspects of the general topic from different disciplinary, methodological, and national perspectives. As a rule, courses are team-taught. Summer school participants are graduate, doctoral, and post-doctoral students.
