Kedourie’s Nationalism, first published in 1960, is considered a classic on the subject. In this piece of work, Kedourie traces the philosophical foundations of nationalist doctrine and the conditions which gave rise to it. I believe that this translation and publication will prove to be useful, providing contemporary Russian scholars and journalists with new ways of understanding current ideological developments in Russia.
