Dalia Mikulska is working on a non-fiction book about Tunisia's complicated relationship with religion, in particular how the country is dealing with the problem of terrorism and foreign fighters returning from places such as Libya and Syria after the fall of the so-called Islamic State. Young people, not always fully consciously, joined the ranks of the Islamic State or other organizations. It was Tunisia, although relatively liberal and secular, that became the largest exporter of jihadists per capita.
