I am working on a radio documentary about the lives of Romanian women working in 24-hour domestic care in Austria. They work very long hours, face stress, isolation and bad working conditions. They provide the social support for ageing societies in Western Europe countries, as well as the financial support for their own families in Romania. It is a double burden that they carry on their shoulders.
