Using postcolonial theory, this project aims to understand the contemporary relationship between Poland and Ukraine, as expressed through selected works of Ukrainian artists. The artistic practices of Yuriy Biley, Oksana Briukhovetska and Yulia Krivich, among others, offer important insights into the contemporary realities of migration, labor exploitation and lack of welfare support as experienced by Ukrainian workers and migrants in Poland.
