Hubert Czyzewski

My project attempts to look at the entire body of work of Leszek Kołakowski (1927-2009) and argues that religious questions were at the heart of his thought from the beginning of his career. His historical inquiries into Marxism and other strands of modern thought were phases in Kołakowski’s development as a religious philosopher and his attempts at reconciliation with religious issues as the answer to the most fundamental philosophical questions.
