FellowshipsThis research deals with the ongoing institutionalization of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), a key contributing factor to to the party’s durability. This institutionalization is embodied in the development and continued improvement of a dual normative system that regulates the activities of the CCP as well as its relationship with the state which it governs. Questions that will be addressed in this research include: the principles of this normative system, its main components and their respective functions and the operational mechanism of the system. Answers to these questions will improve our understanding of the durability of the Chinese party-state.
