Matthew Maguire

My research examines the development of private business regulation and its impact on public policy. In particular, I focus on the regulation of corporate non-financial reporting—that is, disclosure of corporate social and/or environmental performance data. Using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods, I explore how different companies and regulatory authorities respond to the challenges posed by globalization and economic liberalization.
