Milos Havelka is interested in the history of social sciences and the history of Czech thought. During his stay at IWM he will be translating selected works by Max Weber into Czech. His book The Auarrel on the Meaning of Czech history 1895-1938, appeared in 1995 in Prague; forthcoming is Max Weber: An lntroduction, Prague, 1997 (both in Czech).
