I am writing a book that fundamentally rethinks Marx’s magnum opus, Volume I of Capital, and recasts its significance as a foundational work of social theory. From a theoretical perspective, it undertakes a critique both of traditional Marxism and of much recent post-Marxism. Against the background of recent global transformations, it thus seeks to provide a framework for a different critique of capitalist modernity that could rigorously illuminate the contemporary world.
