The project focuses on the role of the media in statehood imitation in the Russian-occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the so-called "DPR" and "LPR." The research reports on the peculiarities of journalists' work in the media of occupation administrations, particularly editorial and personnel policies, the functions of so-called "information ministries," and "state media holdings." The study also examines how the content of these media reflects the attempts to construct the image of statehood of the so-called "republics."
