Pavel Prilutskiy

In his works, Jan Patocka refers to the spiritual roots of Europe as an ethical fundament of European humanity, and he argues that morality as the basis of theoretical contemplation could provide a solution for the crisis of European Modernity. At the same time, his works raise questions about the possibility of an encounter between European and Non-European Civilizations. The texts that I will translate are not well known and have not been printed yet in Russia. In the context of the actual problems of interaction between Europe and Russia they may contribute to the Russian public debate on the possibilities of a future European Russia.
