Sergey Horuzhy

During my stay at the IWM, I plan to continue the elaboration of my project on “synergic anthropology”, a non-classical conception of man based on the experience of spiritual practice. The concrete subject of the work is the study of two anthropological formations presented in Nietzsche’s and Freud’s anthropology, respectively, which must also be compared to the formation constituted in the Eastern-Orthodox hesychast practice.

The project The Perils of Moralism: Russian Orthodoxy and Russian Politics is related to IWM’s research focus “Russia in Global Dialogue” and Kristina Stoeckl’s research project Religious Traditionalism and Politics.
