Stefan Amsterdamski was a Visiting Fellow from November 1992 to June 1993. He worked on The Philosophy of Science and the Sociology of Knowledge. He was involved in the coordination of IWM's TERC-Project.

ln February 1993 he presented "Perceptions of Dilemmas: Summary of a Qualitative Study", a comparative report based on the results of four studies on the current situation of higher education and research in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. These studies were recommended by the TERC Expert Committee, commissioned by lWM, and coordinated by Prof. Amsterdamski.
