Yuliya Bidenko

This project aims to research how different non-governmental actors (NGOs, volunteer networks, professional and alumni associations)––both well-established and reputable ones, and newcomers––behaved and communicated to increase Ukrainian resilience during the first months of the Russian invasion. Yuliya Bidenko will additionally analyze the effects of identity shifts, decentralization, and digitalization. The research will include analysis of sociological data, media content, and interviews with volunteers/NGOs operating on the ground.
