The IWM is currently accepting applications for Documenting Ukraine grants, with a deadline of 30 September 2022. If you are considering applying or are interested in learning more about the program, join us for a virtual info session on Monday, 12 September 2022 at 18:00 Vienna time (19:00 Kyiv time).
During this Zoom session, IWM Permanent Fellow Katherine Younger and Documenting Ukraine Project Manager Kseniya Kharchenko will explain the project’s overall concept and goals, outline application requirements and the evaluation process, and give an overview of expectations and opportunities for successful grant applicants. There will also be ample time for Q&A in English and Ukrainian.
Documenting Ukraine was initiated by the IWM in Spring 2022. The project seeks to contribute to creating a complex, multidisciplinary record of the Russo-Ukrainian war. In its initial phase, Documenting Ukraine supports academics, creative professionals, and preservation specialists who are pursuing projects that document the Ukrainian experience of the war. The project also foresees building an archive of materials produced by grantees, in cooperation with partner institutions.
As of September 2022, over 120 Documenting Ukraine grants have been awarded. A selection of grantees/projects is available on our website; the list is updated on an ongoing basis.
