FellowshipsThe conceptions of exploitation that dominate today’s philosophical literature are unsatisfactory. Either they are unable to explain the wrongness of certain forms of contemporary wage labour, or they categorize as exploitative that which would be absurd to deem as such. My research argues that this is because they aim at placing the wrongness of exploitation within the transaction itself, which renders their account politically useless as a tool of criticism against capitalism.
