Avrum Burg

Many of the known institutions and philosophies that shape contemporary Western nation-state democracies are getting weaker. Some are even disappearing completely. They are defeated from below by sub-state forces or they surrender to global, multinational dominances. My project is a book which explores these phenomena in Israel and the larger Jewish world and tries to predict the future of both.
