The work of German art historian Horst Bredekamp is still not well represented in Hungarian discourse, due to the limited number of translations. Bredekamp is a leading representative of interdisciplinary research and Der Bildakt an important point of reference in cultural history, aesthetics and art history. The translation is aimed both at students and and a wider readership.
