Cortona, Italy, 18. - 31. July 1999
The Robert Bosch Foundation generously supported another event: the IWM International
Summer School in Political Philosophy. This took place in Cortona, Italy, from July 18 to 31,
1999. In organizing this summer school, the IWM worked closely with the Erasmus of Rotterdam
Chair at the University of Warsaw; the New Europe College, Bucharest; the Center
for Theoretical Studies, Prague; and the Society for Higher Learning, Bratislava. The local
cooperation partner was the Centro Incontri e Studii Europei in Rome. Over 40 graduate
students from Eastern and Western Europe and from the USA participated in the intensive
two-week program led by a faculty of 8 professors and 5 junior faculty members.
