On April 22 and May 6th, the French will elect the man who, for the next 5 years, will be their president. Will Nicolas Sarkozy be reelected? Or will François Hollande be able to bring the socialist party back to the Elysée, 17 years after François Mitterrand? To what extent does Marine Le Pen’s extreme right weigh in? Why has the campaign been so verbally violent? How would the French choice impact common European issues?
