FellowshipsThis study examines the long-term effects of inter-communal violence on subsequent generations. Does the trauma linger after the victims of such violence have passed? How do these effects manifest over time and how do they vary across communities? Do legacies of violence affect long-term post-conflict resolution and reconciliation? Using an interdisciplinary approach, I compare two villages in Ukraine that experienced different levels of inter-communal violence during the Second World War.
