- Kosovo Specialist Chambers as a New Model of Internationalized Courts: Legal, Political and Discursive Implications for Transitional JusticeThe Kosovo Specialist Chambers are a distinctive entity in international criminal justice, tasked with prosecuting war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed by members of the Kosovo Liberation Army during and after the Kosovo War.
- Experts in Post-Imperial Transitions: Entanglements and Diverging Trajectories of Eugenicists between the Habsburg Empire and the Nation States, c. 1900–1939The project proposes a new integrative narrative about the history of eugenics in Habsburg and post-Habsburg territories, interpreted through imperial and post-imperial lenses.

- Phantom (Border)Lands in the Late Memory BoomThis project aims to investigate the role of nostalgia for the Borderlands (Kresy) in museums in eastern Poland. Julia Golachowska will analyze the Ludwik Zamenhof Center, Sybir Memorial Museum, and the Museum of the Eastern Borderlands.

For four decades, the Institute has promoted intellectual exchange across disciplines, between academia and society, and among regions of the world. It hosts more than a hundred fellows each year, organizes public exchanges, and publishes books, articles, and digital fora.
