I have absolutely no doubt that the nomenklatura as these countries move to free markets will find themselves quite comfortable with the free market. They are by the evidence of history not too limited by scruples, adaptable and opportunistic. I would commend to you the observation of a West Coast longshoreman, a man who operated on the waterfront on the left the West Coast of the United States, who commented on this when he said that the ex Stalinists make very successful stockbrokers and ex Trotskyists make fine professors of sociology.
