Central Europe on the Way to Democracy

The fundamental problem, as I see it, is the relationship between populism and the nature of the tasks, which are to be accomplished by the transformations in our countries. We would not be able to overthrow a formidable totalitarian system without involving millions of ordinary people. But the goals we want to implement as a result of these transformations, namely a system of private property and economic inequality, are in conflict with the motivating forces that we have set into motion to accomplish them.
